Strengthening Protection, Well-Being, and Resilience of Adolescents Against Gender Based Violence and Child Marriage in Rohingya Camps and Host Communities of Cox's Bazar.

Goal: Strengthening Protection and reduce gender based violence. Well-Being, and Resilience of Adolescents Against Gender Based Violence and Child Marriage in Rohingya Camps and Host Communities of Cox's Bazar.
Objective:
  • Adolescent girls and boys at risk of or are affected by child marriage and GBV demonstrate strengthened resilience and enhanced psychosocial well-being through comprehensive support that prevents further violence.
  • Psychosocial support (PSS) and integrated life skills and protective behaviour training are delivered to adolescent girls and boys, enhancing their resilience, self-protection abilities, and overall well-being.
  • Enhanced capacity for self-protection and empowerment of girls This output focuses on building girls’ capacity to protect themselves and make informed decisions, particularly around issues like GBV and child marriage.
  • Youth empowerment and community engagement initiatives established.

Child protection vulnerabilities are reduced through integrated case management services, strengthened community-based child protection mechanisms (CBCPM), and enhanced caregiver knowledge and capacity to address gender-based violence (GBV) and child and forced marriage.

  • Strengthened community-based protection mechanisms to prevent and respond to child marriage and GBV 
  • Enhanced capacity of protection workers and case workers to effectively prevent and respond to protection concerns including child marriage and gender-based violence
Significant Achievements/ Milestone:

Community Volunteers: 11 (Co-F: 2 & CM-9)

CP Facilities: 9 (5 GFS and 4 MPCAC) facility identified in camps and host excluding Camp-13 (MPCAC) and Camp-17 (MPCAC). 

Enrolment of children: 1324 (B-439, G-885, BwD-5, GwD-16)

Group Formation: 14
